In a nutshell, Assistant Accounts allow Premium users to grant specific permissions to other SkyPilot users, enabling them to:

  • Post on behalf of your connected Bluesky accounts: Your team members or collaborators can draft, schedule, and publish content to your chosen Bluesky profiles.

  • View your account analytics: Give them access to the insights they need to understand performance and inform their content strategy.

  • Maintain complete security: Crucially, your main Bluesky credentials (even your app passwords) remain private and secure. Your assistants never see or need your actual login details.

How It Works: Simple & Secure Collaboration

Setting up an Assistant Account is straightforward and designed with security at its core:

  1. Grant Access: As the Premium account holder, you'll generate an invitation link on your Bluesky Accounts page. Each link is associated with one particular account.

  2. Share Link: You'll then share this link with your assistant, using email, SMS, Bluesky DM, or another method of your choice.

  3. Accept Invitation: Your assistant then clicks the link and signs in to SkyPilot in order to accept the invitation.

  4. No Credential Sharing: The magic is that the assistant uses their own SkyPilot login. They never need to know your username or password. This eliminates the risks associated with sharing sensitive login information.

  5. Full Control: You retain full control. You can revoke an assistant's access at any time with just a few clicks.
